The Case Specialist (Referral Coordinator) will be responsible for coordinating patient referrals, ensuring that all necessary information is obtained and communicated to the appropriate healthcare providers. They will also provide administrative support to the healthcare team, including scheduling appointments, managing patient flow, and handling patient inquiries.
Coordinate patient referrals, including obtaining necessary information and communicating with healthcare providers
Ensure timely and accurate processing of referrals
Provide administrative support to the healthcare team, including scheduling appointments, managing patient flow, and handling patient inquiries
Document patient care activities and maintain accurate patient records
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and efficient patient care
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and other projects as needed
Associates or Bachelor's degree in Healthcare or related field preferred
Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) or Medical Office Assistant (CMOA) preferred
Physical Demands: Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds, bend, stoop, and reach to perform clinical tasks, and have visual and auditory acuity to assess patient conditions and communicate with patients and healthcare professionals.
Experience with insurance authorization and billing processes.
Familiarity with HIPAA and patient confidentiality requirements.
