Description
The Assembly Line Production Worker will be responsible for assembling and packaging mattresses on a production line. They will be required to follow established procedures for mattress assembly, operate machinery and equipment, and maintain a clean and safe work environment. The successful candidate will be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and able to meet production quotas.
Responsibilities
Assemble mattresses according to established procedures
Operate machinery and equipment, such as cutting and sewing machines, to assemble mattress components
Inspect mattresses for defects and ensure quality standards are met
Package and label finished mattresses for shipment
Maintain a clean and safe work environment, including sweeping and cleaning workstations and disposing of waste materials
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and other projects as needed
Requirements
Physical Demands: Must be able to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform repetitive tasks.
Desirable
Experience operating machinery and equipment, such as cutting and sewing machines.
Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives.
